Now, more and more people are testifying online that the Lord has come in the flesh for the second time, expressed millions of words, and carried out the work of purifying and saving man. Some brothers and sisters messaged us and asked how to recognize the incarnate God and affirm whether the Lord has come back.
Regarding this question, let us have a look at two passages of God’s words first.
God says, “The incarnate God is called Christ, and Christ is the flesh donned by the Spirit of God. This flesh is unlike any man that is of the flesh. This difference is because Christ is not of flesh and blood; He is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both a normal humanity and a complete divinity. His divinity is not possessed by any man. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the flesh, while His divinity carries out the work of God Himself. Be it His humanity or divinity, both submit to the will of the heavenly Father. The essence of Christ is the Spirit, that is, the divinity. Therefore, His essence is that of God Himself.”
“He who is God incarnate shall possess the essence of God, and He who is God incarnate shall possess the expression of God. Since God becomes flesh, He shall bring forth the work He intends to do, and since God becomes flesh, He shall express what He is, and shall be able to bring the truth to man, bestow life upon him, and point the way for him. Flesh that does not have the essence of God is decidedly not the incarnate God; of this there is no doubt. If man intends to inquire into whether it is God’s incarnate flesh, then he must corroborate this from the disposition He expresses and the words He speaks. Which is to say, to corroborate whether or not it is God’s incarnate flesh, and whether or not it is the true way, one must discriminate on the basis of His essence. And so, in determining whether it is the flesh of God incarnate, the key lies in His essence (His work, His utterances, His disposition, and many other aspects), rather than external appearance. If man scrutinizes only His external appearance, and as a result overlooks His essence, this shows that man is benighted and ignorant.”
From God’s words, we can understand: The incarnation means that the Spirit of God puts on flesh and comes on earth to speak and work to save man. On the outside, the incarnate God is an ordinary and normal human who eats, wears clothes, lives and acts as a regular person does; however, He has divine essence, able to speak to the entire humankind in God’s identity and status, to express the truth, to do God’s own work, and to fulfill God’s will. For example, the Lord Jesus is ordinary and normal outwardly, but He has divine essence. So He can express the way of repentance and the disposition of love and mercy, teach people to love their enemies and forgive others, and do the work of crucifixion to redeem humankind. All these are not possessed and cannot be achieved by any created beings. So, if we want to know whether the Lord has come in the flesh, we need to read His words and see whether these words are the truth and can supply us with life, and whether they can bring us the new ways of practice. This way, we will be able to confirm whether the Lord has already come back.
